This place needs a quick makeover to be great, overall good experience but it was run down and had a few unsavory characters living there. That said, the staff, price, location and food(yes food) was very good!
Giving it a 1 star is a compliment this place is terrible. Right when we pulled in I immediately started calling other campgrounds so we could get out of here. Willing and happy to lose my money I might add. Staff is rude, place is a mess, trailers are cramped into tiny sites. Dirty, not well maintained, can't see the water, I mean swamp, from the "waterfront site" people are antisocial, no amenities, clearly no security, shady looking people all over the place, it's disgraceful. Sorry excuse for a campground if you ask me. Packing up and spending the rest of the long weekend at home that's how bad this place is.
Nice amenities however each site is really close to the next. Kind of wish we had a better sense of wilderness. Ill definitely come next year though!
I had a great time. I went in and checked out available sites a week prior to staying. Lots of sites are small and hilly. I had a huge site right in front of bath house. Lots for kids to do. My only issue is at quiet time, we were told to be quiet down several times. I respect all rules, sorry if we laugh a little loud for a second. Guy was really getting in our face. We're grown ass adults. Kids are sleeping and im enjoying what peace i have with friends. Don't need to be micro managed. Plenty of other punks in the campground that don't obey. Ill go back though. I gave it a 4 because i only had 1 issue.
Our overall experience was okay. This campground has so much potential. Unfortunately their isn't much for kids to do here. Their is a playground (kind of). We spent most of our days in the overpacked swimming pool. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends, nor would I return.
